Halloween Party and Potluck

Description: We’ll be celebrating Halloween with the Maverick community party and potluck style. Bring a spooky Halloween dish to share with the community, and bring your best costume. We’ll be giving away to free movie tickets and an Instapot to the top 2 costumes of the night. We’ll also be pumpkin painting, screening a scary movie, and telling spooky stories. See you there!

Celebrating Our Diversity Together!

Description: Join the Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachusetts for an afternoon of cultural dances and performances by local East Boston schools, businesses, and neighborhood groups. Come enjoy music, ethnic foods, and fun for all ages!

Celebrate diversity with us on Nov 6th in East Boston! Mayor Michelle Wu and State Representative Adrian Madaro will be there along with many other elected officials! There will be food, music, dancing and more from all different cultures!

Eastie Halloween: Kids Party on the Pier!

Description: Come on down to the tall ship for a Halloween celebration! There’s face painting, pirates, lawn games, and cider donuts. Enjoy the Halloween season with the whole family, right on the water!

BCYF Halloween Party

Eastie Halloween Costume Swap

Description: Go green for Halloween! Bring a lightly used costume to Brophy Park on October 15th and swap it for a costume that’s “new to you”. Ages for costumes range from newborn to teen. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided! We hope to see you there.

Dia De Los Muertos

Description: Te invitamos a que te unas a esta maravillosa celebración para seguir pasando esta tradición a las nuevas generación, crear comunidad y lazos de amor entre nuestros vecinos.

Artista en cualquier disciplina, y voluntarios de todas las edades están invitados a participar en el proceso creativo previo al Desfile y Festival que se llevarán a cabo el 30 de octubre de 2 a 7 PM.

Los retiros espirituales para honrar a nuestros antepasados y seres queridos fallecidos. se llevarán a cabo los días primero y dos de noviembre para concluir la celebración.

Description: Want to become a professional cook? Enhance your job skills and open up a new career? Then join us to learn more about our culinary arts training program present by NECAT and the East Boston YMCA.

We will host three information sessions in September about our FREE 12-week training program that starts in October. Registration is not required. The information sessions will be on Wednesday, September 14, 21, and 28 from 9am-12pm at 54 Ashley Street, East Boston, MA 02128. Prospective applicants should plan to arrive on time as we review a lot of the details about the course during this information session and also leave some time for those who are interested to complete the application in person.

Eligibility requirements:

  1. Able to commit to the 12-week program and attend class every day
  2. At least 18 years old
  3. Legally able to work in the state of MA
  4. GED/HiSet preferred
